    Hi folks

    If you run into this sort of problem again you can do what I suggested in another post using the device manager-->properties-->events This will lead to the actual hardware id of the piece of kit itself and you can then google for that exact driver

    Read my post in this thread should be post #5 screen shot shows what I mean.

    Forget the Driverpack solutions solution - just read the post.

    Another good source for device drivers is the French website Station-Drivers.com. Here's their link to the JMB38X WHQL driver: JMB38x Card Reader Controller.

    Offered to upgrade friends ASUS laptop 7 to 10 and discovered 3 x base system devices... arrived here after google search on H/W ID. so glad I did. This has fixed 33% of my problems 2 more to go.
