Hello everyone!
I wanted to ask for help since whenever I plug in a USB Stick I get the notification "The installation of this device has been forbidden by system policy," but I still get the notification that the device has been installed and is ready for usage. However, it doesn't show up when I browse the "My Files" folder. Anyone know a solution?
I use Windows 10 by the way.

Is this a corporate PC that has disabled USB devices?
As bobkn says, if this is a work PC then USBs may have been disabled by a Domain policy.

Is this the sort of thing that can happen by accident?
If so, I count myself lucky that I've never seen it.
It's the sort of thing my most recent employer did, mainly to avoid insider data theft. (Optical drives were read-only.) The policy would be re-invoked at every start up of the machine, along with other network settings.
