    How to get rid of Realtek (R) audio


    Hi everyone, i have a problem that i can't get rid of realtek (R) audio. It comes back after uninstalling it. Please help. I actually want realtek high definition audio as it was before, so thats the reason i want to get rid of it.

    If you mean the Realtek Audio Console, you have to follow the steps necessary to uninstall a UWP app. There's a TF tutorial for that: Uninstall Apps in Windows 10 | Tutorials.

    I mean realtek (R) audio from device manager.

    Ah so. Then you can use the right-click menu option labeled "Uninstall device." Be sure to tell it to delete all files and settings info, too (you'll be prompted about that during the uninstall process). Then, reboot your PC and let device enumeration work its magic and see if you like the results better. Sorry I didn't understand your original query. Hope this helps!

    It didn't work unfortunately. It comes back after rebooting pc.

    This is the latest driver and it shows up as High Definition on my ASUS ROG motherboard. Download and install it.

    Thanks @fireberd. Always glad to have an audio maven provide input on dealing with these issues. Realtek audio definitely has its quirks.

    I installed it, but it still appears as realtek (R) audio.
