    Unable to uninstall keyboard

I just added a new wireless keyboard to my computer.

It is causing the computer to crash. I am trying to uninstall the driver for the previous wireless keyboard hoping that will solve the crashing issue.

Whenever I uninstall the keyboard and turn off the computer the keyboard reinstalls and appears in Device Manager.

Hello jwblue mate an obvious query but I suppose you have the origail wifi dongle removed from the machine??

Now just as a trial if you have access to a wired KB remove any dongle for a wifi KB and try it and see if the driver still reinstalls.
By the by what brand is the wifi KB??

Are you trying to uninstall the keyboard driver from Device Manager? If so, which specific device are you trying to uninstall?

It is in all-in-one computer so that might be the issue. The dongle is built into the machine so I can not remove it. Can it be disabled? Is it possible that is what is causing the crashing of the computer?

Brand of KB is Hewlett Packard

You cannot uninstall the HID Keyboard Device. It is built-in to Windows and used for all keyboards.

You would have to uninstall the driver for the dongle. But what sort of crash are you seeing? What makes you think it's caused by the keyboard?

Since I plugged in the dongle for the new keyboard there have been two HID Keyboard Devices listed in Device Manager. Is it possible they are conflicting with one another?

Since the keyboard was installed the computer freezes constantly.. Before the keyboard was installed during the 3 years we have owned the computer the computer did not freeze one time.

I have 4 HID Keyboard Devices on my laptop so having multiple instances does not necessarily mean they will conflict.

You say the dongle is built-in to the machine so I'm not clear on what you mean by "installing" the keyboard.
