NEC Multisync PA271W fails to wake up from sleep

NEC Multisync PA271W fails to wake up from sleep

I enabled display power off in 20 mins and while my Dell wakes up, the NEC does not and the only thing I can do is bounce the system.

I installed the drivers for both monitors so now they appear correctly in the driver section instead of "Generic monitor" but still the NEC PA271W does not wake up.

Sounds like your monitor has finally died. Try a different monitor with your computer and try the monitor with a different computer. It is a 8 year old monitor.

In addition, you might see if connecting the monitor to a different port or using a different type of connection may work better.

The monitor works just fine if the display power timeout is not set. Everything works except this. it's old but with low hours on it.

NEC only has the DisplayPort and my machine has only 1 miniDisplayPort. I would have to get a HDMI to DP connection cable to test alternative setup.

Display Port has been known to have issues with the latest Windows 10 versions. I would suggest to not set the Power Timeout and just shut the monitor off when not in use.

I can try swapping the monitors between different ports.
I would need to buy some more cables though.

I am not experiencing any issues otherwise.

Any idea when they can debug these "issues"?

When Bug Reports are submitted for these issues to the GPU manufacturers.

Try uninstalling the Nvidia HD Audio Driver ,Win10 will install it's own on reboot , it helps with my BenQ monitors but is still not 100% perfect with 300 or 400 Series Nvidia Drivers.
