Do you know what the device actually does? I have experienced no problems with my use of laptop. Is it a case of leaving well alone?

If you will Google "Intel Trusted Execution Engine", you may understand the information better than I - It seems to be a hardware/software system used to block certain forms of attack on your system via software. Since it is security-related, I would suggest pursuing the matter to solution. Perhaps start with your hardware manufacturer's support site, then proceed to Intel's Support site thereafter...

The TXE is an embedded processor that runs independently from Windows. The Windows driver is not needed for it to function; it just allows Windows software to communicate with it. The TXE is related to the Intel Management Engine on the mainstream chipsets but I haven't been able to determine what the TXE is actually used for since there doesn't seem to be any support software that uses it.

If you haven't had any issues then it's likely fine to leave it alone. However, I would still check to make sure your system manufacturer hasn't released any updated firmware that may address any TXE issues.

Ran the installation of latest PBell and informed a later version already installed. So much for support by manufacturer!.

Thanks for all your time and effort. Not sure how close post without showing as solved. If nothing needs to be done no need for any follow up. If needed please advise so that post complies with forum norms.

    Regards
