I don't think u guys understand what I'm trying to get at here.

I know I can partition a USB drive into however many I want and whatever size I want. The problem is, when andoid reformats the partition to use at internal, it reformats the ENTIRE drive. Not just the partition I selected.

There is nothing I can do on Android because I'm not rooted. So, in windows, is there a way to partition the drive into 2 partitions but make it look like to Android and windows that it's 2 separate drives rather than a single drive with 2 partitions? This way when I select the first partition on Android to use as internal, it WONT format the entire drive. Just that partition.
OK - what do you mean by using it as an internal drive in android?

Am I missing something here, but can't you use the AParted app in Android that I linked to in Post #7 to make two or more partitions, then let Windows use one of them? Claims to work for usb as well as SD.

This tool allows you to create partitions and administer them in your sdcard or usb device.

in android, you can format a usb or sd card as internal (allows apps to utilize it as though it were internal storage) or as portable (allows you to use it as an external storage, only allows you to transfer files back and forth. apps cant take advantage of it.)

after android reformats it to use as internal storage, it looks like this in EaseUS. (*Note, this is only a 128GB usb Drive, but its recognized as 2 114GB partitions)
