I'm using a USB mouse instead of the touch pad mouse built into my laptop and everything was fine until recently I noted a spinning blue circle that appear beside the cursor, but not sure why. I have tried restoring my computer to a earlier restore point as well as resetting my PC, but still having the same issue and not sure what to do, help!
First you need to understand it's mouse pointer not courser , second this is a sign something is loading in the back ground , to identify what it is is a bit difficult , hopefully you have a good antivirus , sfc scan might help but do not cross your fingers , the solution the internet sees most convenient is this one despite similar to dusting under the carpet :

Your right it is a pointer and not a courser and I thought something was loading in the background, just wanted confirmation that is what it was, which you have confirmed. Instead of trying to figure what is loading in the background and causing the issue I just went ahead and backed up everything and reinstalled Windows 10 home.
