I too am having problems with installing the Realtek console from the Microsoft store.
I uninstalled the driver via add/remove programs, restarted, installed the UAD Realtek driver from MS catalogue, restarted & tried installing the app but it still failed.
Also my PC seemed to get slightly slower with the UAD driver.

Earlier this year, rumors started floating around about a Microsoft Store App called the Realtek Audio Console. By the end of August, I myself was able to grab it from the store. I wrote a post about this stuff for Win10.Guru called Putting Realtek Audio Console to Work. In looking at driver updates for Realtek stuff, I've now figured out that the usual drivers to which @Brink links in the Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version - Windows 10 Forums thread don't work with this tool.

Instead, you need to grab a driver named Realtek HD Audio (UAD) Driver. Right now, the best source for this driver is at the excellent French driver site Station-Drivers. The page I turn to there is entitled Others & Generics: Realtek HD Audio (UAD) Drivers. This is a good link to use if you want to check in from time to time to see what's available there.

As I write this post (which will be the first item in an ongoing sticky thread that I plan to update regularly) the most current version of that driver is labeled Realtek HD Audio (UAD) Drivers Version R2.8x (8586) WHQL. Here's what its Driver properties look like in Device Manager:

    Attachment 219601

The new Realtek Audio Console works well and is a nice alternative to the Realtek HD Audio controller. This thread will help you keep up with the latest drivers that work with this UWP app.

[PS added 3 mins later:] After just updating my Dell Venue Pro 11 7130 to the 8564 drivers, I was reminded that these drivers install WAY FASTER than those in the other Realtek HD Audio driver fork. It finished in under 30 seconds on both my i7 6700K desktop (a beast) and on the Venue Pro (i5 mobile CPU 1.86 GHz, more of a mouse than a beast). I installed by using the "Update drivers" button in Device Manager, I didn't run the realtek exe file (which requires 2 reboots). Just FYI.
I would like to ask, I use Clevo NB50TK1, Realtek ALC269 with Sound Blaster Cinema 5, when I install MSUpdate's UAD driver (it is determined that the HDA driver and Clevo driver have been completely removed), both Sound Blaster Connect and Realtek Audio Console will be installed. However, Realtek Audio Console prompts: Realtek Audio Console does not support this device, how to solve this, hardware ID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0269&SUBSYS_155855A1&REV_1002

Sorry, @1582130940. I don't have a clue. Maybe somebody else here at the forums has run into your problem. I have not.

I use the "generic" 8614 UAD driver from the Universal_Audio_Driver_8614_NEC_TEST.zip package from github, which includes the HDXRT.inf and HDX_GenericExt_RTK.inf files that allow installation on any onboard Realtek audio device whether old or new.

8614 UAD requires Realtek Audio Console UWP app v1.2.165.0 or higher.

try the 8614 UAD driver, 1582130940 [do NOT use HDA or non-UAD drivers on your Clevo NB50TK1 laptop; that laptop must use UAD drivers because it originally came with them]. also you must upgrade Realtek Audio Console to version 1.2.165.0 or better

My UWP app can used, First Install generic UAD drivers 6.0.1.8591(from Microsoft update), then install generic UAD drivers 6.0.1.8606(from Microsoft update last version, only 32MB), uwp app can be used, It seems that my device needs hdxclevo.inf to work properly.

    Hi Ed,
I found the driver on Github and it works great.
As far as that Realtek MS store app, that thing is stuck halfway in my store, it says I already have it but when I try to download, it fails. I have tried
everything except removing the MS Store App to no avail. Also Brink's tutorial link finds the app just fine but when I just open MS Store and search for Realtek it does not find it, weird. No complaints I have an old X58 board and that Realtek app has not worked since Win7 but I would like to find where it is imbedded in my system.
    Thank you,
