I suggest going to Device Manager, into "Sound, video, and game controllers", choose the Realtek device, Driver tab, choose "Uninstall Device", and check the "delete the driver software driver for this device".

Let us know whether that works.

New Realtek UAD audio drivers are called "Realtek Audio". Older format Realtek HDA audio drivers are called "Realtek HD Audio".

    Go to Settings
    Click System
    Click About
Click System Info on the ride side of the window
    Go to Advanced System Settings
    Click the Hardware Tab
    Click Device Installation Settings
Press No then Save Changes and restart your computer

At this point you can now install the latest driver.

I'm using the Realtek driver direct from Realtek. Its shows as "Realtek High Definition Audio" in Device Manager.

Disconnect from the internet. Uninstall old drivers. Install new drivers. Connect to internet.

Is there a specific reason why you want a "Realtek hd audio driver"?
