    File can't delete on HDD..?


    Hi All
    I have few files on my Toshiba ext. HDD that don't seem to able to delete ..
    Any ideas..?
    I have signed out , restart tha laptop ..

    Sorry,
    I used other laptop to delete them.
    works fine now ..

    this sounds like a failing hard drive btw you should scan for bad sectors . But a quick fix is to use this program Unlocker , it kind of help deleting resilient files , just right click the file then pick unlock from pop up menu then look for delete option or maybe rename as you wish .

I go into Explorer to delete a file and it tells "Action can't be completed because the file is open in Windows Explorer" But don't you have to open it in Explorer in order to select it to delete it ?
