Yeah, the charge cable is really a good length. It's kinda long for my use, but works fine regardless.

I don't think the voltage of the batteries is the issue, it's the cable used in the PC connection. And when I try to reconnect via Bluetooth, it just blinks stupidly. Otherwise, the controller works fine. Usually a reboot and an unpair or two fixes it.

I just installed a new XBox Wireless Controller today on W10 v1709. It works fine on a cheap USB cable I had lying around and auto-connects to Bluetooth once paired from any account.

Huh. Could just be my Bluetooth adapter. It's an ASUS BT 4.0 dongle. Maybe if I upgrade to the latest BT standard?

I'm just using a really cheap BT USB device. However, I found Far Cry 5 froze a couple of times when connected via BT so I tried using the USB connection which is fine.

I had BioShock "freeze" on me a few times when I was using an old wireless Xbox 360 controller. It turned out the battery was low on the controller and the game was trying to pop up a message that the controller was disconnected. I didn't realize the two were connected at first.
