There is nothing wrong with a BIOS time of 5.7 secs. On this Laptop it is 3.9 to 4.5 secs.

On a Desktop MOBO with a more complex BIOS/UEFI 5.7 secs is perfectly reasonable.
It is only a small part of the Boot up processes.

The only thing a user can do is upgrade the BIOS/UEFI firmware, it is what it is, nowt you can do about it.

If you look at the Gigabyte notes for BIOS(UEFI) upgrades, a user might think that the F5 update improves Windows boot times, no doubt it does, but a user won't actually see anything as it could be a fraction of a second off the BIOS time.
It does not go in to specifics. More of act of faith than any user will notice.

You do not understand what the BIOS/UEFI is or its purpose, things will get clearer later.

I might be wrong but I'm thinking the OP is talking about when switching between settings screens like Fans or ?? I removed all that from My OS on my desktop M5A 99X Evo R1 cause it didn't work worth a poop. The R2 Model released with 6 Months does. Happens a lot when getting the newest hardware as soon as it's released, but I just had to have a Dozer...UGH

You can hope that Gigabyte will issue updates that might help but I think it's mostly a learn to live with the capabilities of your hardware.
