I could use some advise on using a NVMe card

I have an Acer Predator G3-710 2016 (desktop) pc.
I haven't found the motherboard specs, but in the meantime I attached 3 photos.
Could it be that photo #1 shows the slot where the NVMe card plugs? (red rectangle)

According to laurent_14 from the these are the available expansion ports in this pc:

    SATA 3.0: 4
    - One for DVD drive
    - One for HDD drive
    - 3 HDD bays so 2 free
    M.2 SSD: 1 (SATA 3.0)
    PCIe X1 3.0: 2
    PCIe X16 3.0: 1

    Thank you in advance guys

No. It's under the video card next to the PCIe slot the video card plugs into:

Should be right about there in your photo:

    That's great!
I guess you added that one in your photo, right?

Btw, would you happen to know if one can also add Optane memory to this motherboard?

Another view of your motherboard: https://community.acer.com/en/discus...se-fan-install

Item 3 is the single m.2 slot.

I haven't been able to find whether it supports PCI-E SSDs as well as SATA ones. The user manual for the Predator G3-710 is weak on details. If it takes a PCI-E NVME drive, I'd guess that it'd take an Optane card as well. (I can't claim familiarity with Optane.)

You may have to contact Acer support, and hope that the script reader that you get has answers on the list.

I don't own the computer. Just pulled the info off the internet.

I'm generalising but if you have the NVME slot in use and a PCIEx16 graphics card then that might be all your PCIE lanes used up. The slots in your red rectangle are PCIEx1 so not suitable for a PCIE card for NVME.
