My D Drive Disapeared and im clueless

My D Drive Disappeared and I'm clueless, basically it, one day I was playing on my laptop and then I slept, I woke up about a have an hour later, my charger was removed by my siblings but i doubt that has to do with anything and, once i clicked on a game it told me that the path to the drive just simply didnt exist, i checked for myself through my computer and it wasnt there, I went to diskmanagement and it also wasn't there, I rescanned for disks and refreshed and restarted about a million times and nothing happens,

so may someone assist me please because of it clueless.

Please post a screen shot of what you see in Disk Management.

Is this a laptop with just one hard drive that has more than one partition? Or does it have 2 physical hard drives?

What do you normally keep on D??

and how do I know whether it has more than one partition or 2 physical hard drives, i got this thing as a gift so is there any way i can find out from within the laptop even after the D drive disappeared?

I keep basically everything i had installed, 900GB worth of games, programs and apps

From what I see, your D: drive is completely missing. Could be that your drive has crashed, or something is loose inside your laptop.

At the moment Disk Management is only seeing one Harddrive in you system.

    Hi WhW,

Your gaming laptop Asus GL502VT is quite a costly one of a recent origin( about 2years ). Apart from a 128GB SSD,it can also accomodate an upto 2TB HDD. So you indeed have a second internal HDD. But there is no trace of it in the Windows Disk Management. As
Rudy Mas said it must be completely dead to go missing like this.

    As per one review "
Serviceability is relatively easy as the entire bottom panel can be removed with a single Philips screwdriver to reveal all the core motherboard components. It's worth noting that both the CPU and GPU are soldered and that this is one of the few gaming notebooks where only one SODIMM slot is available for expansion."

So it may be easy to replace the HDD. Once the second HDD is out, you can put it into an external enclosure and check it. But I see no joy but for a miracle.. ( a loose/corroded connector, a dry solder joint )

Whether you want to do this check and replacement of the HDD yourself or entrust it to a Service professional, you have to decide.

The D: drive could be an external USB hard disk removed by your siblings.

Or even internal one, removed by same... Proceed like Jumanji proposed, and check if the drive is there at all.

    Good information, jumanji
Just one thing I would add. But before pronouncing the drive dead, I would try re-seating it. Pull it out and plug it back in. Try booting it up again.
