Well you have two Biometric devices drivers installed. Top two. Could you delete those.

Then I would restart computer and see if Windows installs a driver. You can check with DriverStore.

I went and read the threads again. They point to drivers in the series you are using. They do mention it being a fix to 1803.

Not saying it is wrong, just asking.... You are on 1709. is there a reason you are not moving forward with 1803?
After uninstall and restarted Laptop nothing comes up!

    Moreover, using v1803!

    Nice.

How does Device Manager look. Anything new with question mark or exclamation mark?

    Well I'm stumped.

You installed that driver and it shows in DriverStore?

Maybe another member will have a better idea.

You went from 1709 to 1803. You removed all old drivers and install drivers that others say work. The BIOS has it enabled.

The one last thing I could think of is to reload the defaults in the BIOS just in case the issue is that low in the architecture.

This is a bad implementation on Lenovo's part as demonstrated my the hits on google.

If I think of something else I'll be back.

Really doesn't make sense. Did you reset BIOS to defaults?

Maybe another member has a better idea.

I would check out the Lenovo forum. Has to be somebody there that has cracked this.
