    Unrecognized disk drive

    Hello
I have a strange problem : one of my disks has 2 partitions (G: and H:)
When I look at Disk Management, they are both displayed but I can only open H:
I get a "refused access" when I try to open G:
I open a comman windows as administrator - There I can access G:, list its content ...
I ran Chkdsk on G: No problem detected
I can even copy some folders from G: to another disk
So the disk and the partition are not corrupted
But as soon as I exit from the Command windows, the access to G: is refused (within Explorer, within a "normal" command window ...)
Any idea to fix this ? Thanks Have a good day

Hi, please download and install Minitool Partition Wizard (free)
Download MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition 10.2.2 - FileHippo.com

Launch it and expand columns as a necessary so all text is visible.
To post a screenshot please use the Insert Image icon above your post.

Do you have more than one user account on your PC - or do other people have accounts on it?
Please examine the security settings on both of G: and H: and post a screenshot of both. (Rt click drive, Properties, Security).

Do you recall creating G: ?

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the answer
I checked all my disks properties and found that I had no access on the faulty drive (don't know why !)
I added my username in the properties, gave full access and it works !
    Have a good day
