Missing Power tab in Device Manager

    SHORT VERSION:
I am referring to this tab. My Device Manager doesn't have it.

    LONG VERSION:
I'm using Windows 10 on a laptop and I'm trying to check how much power a USB-connected device draws from my laptop. I am asking this because somehow the USB port can no longer sustain 2 external drives (via a USB hub) when both are connected at the same time. This setup worked okay before. So I'm diagnosing the problem and I'm at a roadblock because I can't find the Power tab.

Is this removed in Windows 10 or my computer is an isolated case? Can I re-enable this tab via registry?
Hope someone can help me. Thank you.

Do you have these in your device manager?

Still available in the October update as far as I can see:

I have USB Root Hub (3.0)

    Here's my OS info:
    Microsoft Windows 10 Home SL
    Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134

Here are actual screenshots of my Device Manager and USB Root Hub 3.0 Properties

You don't even have the "Advanced" tab to see if your hub is operating at full speed. The "Power" tab is not the only tab you're missing.

Very odd, and I can't think of any further ideas other than it being a (3.0) that the availability of those tabs would disappear. An outdated driver would have nothing to do with those particular tabs missing, so you would have to hope that someone running a 3.0 root hub could verify whether or not those tabs are suppose to exist or not in your version of Windows.

FWIW ... Win10 Home x64 (1809) ... My USB Root Hub (USB 3.0) doesn't have the Power & Advanced Tabs. My two USB Root Hub do have the the Power & Advanced Tabs.

Note: Not sure why you don't have any USB Root Hub entries tho ... Chipset driver issue maybe ???

I already checked Intel's website to check the latest driver, but the website indicated that driver for this chipset is unavailable as it is managed by Windows Update.

When I try to update the driver via Device Manager, it says that I have the latest recommended version.

This system is a laptop, by the way, if that's relevant.

EDIT: I also ran sfc scan: No integrity violations found.

Is this for the ASUS laptop that the Intel website indicated the driver for the chipset is unavailable and is managed by Windows Update?

If that is the case, I would tell them to stuff it - matter of fact, as many freaking times as they would like. If every computer manufacturers website indicated that Windows Update was in control of their chipset updates (especially Intel) and indicated the driver for the chipset was unavailable for ASUS, what is the point of them selling a product they can't directly support?

I have heard of nothing but problems with these ASUS laptops and I'm beginning to wonder why they are even still in business if the direct Intel website gives the information that Windows Update is in control of direct driver downloads for Intel chipsets.

I believe you; I just can't believe a computer manufacture (or Intel) can directly state that Windows Update is in control of chipset driver updates for Intel. That would immediately make me angry, and I would take that computer right back to where I got it from.

What's the asus model number or what chipset does the motherboard have ?

Note: Speccy is a great utility that tells everything about your system. Use the portable version (no install)

Only my USB 2 hubs show power and advanced (speed) tabs.
    My USB 3 do not.

Check this free app. It shows a lot of information about your USB ports.
