    Windows 10 and Printer Compatibility

My Lexmark v313w printer was working perfectly fine not long ago, but when I uninstalled the printer driver to reinstall, my driver won't download and when it does download it's now not compatible. I really need my printer. Please help. Thanks.

Press the Windows and "R" keys simultaneously, type "devmgmt.msc" into the "Run" box and click "OK". When Device Manager starts, click "View", "Show hidden devices", then expand "Printers", right-click the printer, select "Update driver", "Browse my computer for driver software", then "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer". If one is found, install it. You may have to restart the computer for the change to take effect.

My printer wasn't shown as one of the choices. Is there a way to add it to my computer?

A message popped up stating that no compatible printers are installed.

Please repost with the manufacturer and model of the printer.

Turn the printer on, then press the Windows " i" keys simultaneously, click "Devices", "Printers and Scanners", and click "Add a printer".

For some odd reason, I keep getting a message that says printer cannot communicate with computer. Everything is connected and turned on. I'll try the suggested tips and post the results here.

I think I may need another USB cable for my printer, since there is no communication.

That's your computer, I have the same one. The make and model of the printer is what was asked for.
