A new printer cable did not work either. I may have caused a problem myself, since I downgraded to Windows 7 a couple of weeks ago, but when Windows 7 had problems itself, I added back Windows 10 about a week ago. Before I downgraded to Windows 7, my printer worked perfectly fine on Windows 10. I'm totally baffled as to why it won't work now.

Unplug the printer from the computer, then download and run the appropriate Windows 8 driver. Connect the USB cable to the computer when prompted.

You can try Windows 7 if you want. I ran them both on my Windows 10 system right up to the prompt for connection.

    I'll try 8. I tried 7 and it didn't work. Thanks.

You may have to find the download in File Explorer, right-click and select "Troubleshoot Compatibility".

Unbelievable. After a couple of tries and troubleshooting, Windows 8 finally worked. I forgot to troubleshoot for compatibility the first time. Thank you so much for sticking with me through this. I really need my printer almost every day. I can't thank you enough. :)
