Why isn't my m325 wireless mouse connected to pc?

Hello. My Logitech m325 wireless mouse doesn't connect to the pc. I have downloaded the unifying software to connect it. The software detects the Logitech usb. However, when I get to the step where I restart the mouse to connect, it doesn't connect and doesn't detect it. I have restarted the pc and I have restarted the mouse correctly. The mouse battery is okay as well. Please help.

Put the USB controller into a different USB port and not thru a Hub or Docking station.
With the controller in, press the Win key+X choose Device Manager. Are there any yellow flags next to any devices here? If so, these devices need drivers.

My experience shows a number of devices may not work properly in USB 3 ports but usually fine with USB 2. I have several wireless mice and if the nanotransceiver has a black center in it use a USB 2 port on the computer which is also black. USB 3 usually has blue centers.

The software doesn't detect the usb when I put it in usb 2 port. It works when I put it in usb 3 port though.

    There aren't any yellow flags.

I've been through some tricky experiences with Logitech!

My suggestion would be to first cleanly uninstall the drivers and any other Logitech supplied software, then shutdown. Remove the Unifying Receiver for use later on.

Plug in a standard, wired, USB Keyboard and Mouse to the rear USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports and reboot.

    Go into Device Manager...

Delete all the USB devices that are mouse related (Mice and other pointing devices,) using the keyboard to toggle between selections. Finally delete all the USB controllers (the keyboard will lock up, no worries.) then power off for 15 seconds and restart the machine with just the wired Keyboard and Mouse attached. The USB and related ports will Plug and Play, so be a bit patient.

Now, turn off the Mouse and Keyboard (if wireless) and switch back on.
Plug in the Unifying Receiver to any back port - USB 2.0 is best, so you can use the 3.0 for other faster items.

There is a software to download from Logitech that lets you manage "Unified" devices if the wireless mouse and/or keyboard work. I suggest downloading and installing it, if you can. There you can adjust a few Logitech specific things if so desired.

Let us know how you do.

    Thanks!

I did all the steps, except the wired keyboard and mouse step, since I am using a laptop. After all the steps it still doesn't work. Also I can't see my cursor and can't move it.

    Sorry for my late reply...

Have you removed the battery (if possible) for 20 seconds and tried to reboot?
Have you tried booting from a USB stick with the OS on it to gain access?

If you can get in, just let the laptop plug and play without any USB devices attached.
Then uninstall any Logitech drivers and software with a clean reboot.

Let us know how you do...
