So what's that Disk 2 now ? Looks like all it needs is a letter for that 28.5GB partition. Did you look in device manager ? It should show it's HW.

Disk 2 is listed as having a 28.55GB healthy partition. But it's a 128GB disk. There's no other partition listed. What is HW?

Yes, Device Manager also says 28.55GB partition. But it is a 128GB usb drive. And 100GB is gone.

Check on Google it's Hardware Id, there may be more problems like yours out there.

Did you do a diskpart "Clean" against this drive.

If you look at it with Minitool Partition Wizard it may show some hidden sections.

Please do not take me wrong and I think someone already posted, this looks like a drive that was to be used for or was being prepared for a boot. The 200MB EFI System partition is not something I normally see on USB.

Is there any chance this USB got mixed up with another while on a desk.

If you suspect Bitlocker I might recommend looking a Veracrypt. Open source and free. (Descendant of Truecrypt)

Interesting about the boot info. Yes that wasn't there before. And there is someone staying with me who can access my computer but he "swears" he didn't use this usb drive. HOWEVER, he has his own 128gb drive and may have confused the two. He does create OS loaders on occasion.

Thanks for that minitool advice. I got it. However, it too only reports what DiskPart and Disk Management says.

    Oh well, by by disk!

Check with your friend. If he she creates boot disks this can change the drive, had it myself. Hearing you both have 128GB's is just to much of a coincidence and they create boot disks.

    Please.

It was a case of mistaken usb drives. His is the same brand (PNY) and size as mine, 128GB. He had mine all along; confusion but nothing was lost. WHEW! SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So weird.

Thank you. Once all the info came out you could almost feel it.

Glad you got it sorted. Now time to put a toe tag on each drive.
