Is this going to ask for me to provide a product key?

@Caledon Ken, okay. I just figured it would since the free upgrade offer for Windows 7 and Windows 8 has passed.

No they weren't going to mess with it.

There was an article a long time ago and it said MS pulled the offer but left the door opening just so they wouldn't have to report on the uptake. Can you imagine if it was free and they reported steadily declining numbers. The headlines would read MS can't give this away.

This should become very interesting.... soon.

A lot of people stayed with 7 as they could and it worked. Well that deadline is approaching and in the technology world fast. Does MS leave the door open or do they start to charge all the last minute folks that try to sneak in. I'm warning all my clients. Do you want to buy an OS or take the plunge?

I received an email. The hard drive from Dell has been delayed. It is scheduled to ship out on October 23rd. The recovery media, however is on it's way. They are saying it should be delivered today with expedited shipping.

Wow, that is amazing. They are out of stock on HDD's.

Not saying this is for you but myself I would cancel.

I would then go to just about any store or online retailer and order.

Crazy... It is what it is.

Well, I’ve still got time to wait on it since she wants to see if the other guy can recover the data on it that was lost. She wasn’t very happy about the lost data. But she said she wasn’t upset with me. I explained to her that from now on, she must back up her data to prevent these things from happening.
