    Mysterious Drive

Installed Windows 10 Enterprise for my company. User logs in and when he open This PC he notices a mysterious drive (M) with a Blue Question mark over the drive. Right clicking on the drive and choosing properties reveals nothing but folder properties.

A Google Search reveal several posts with similar issues but nothing that matches this issue.

Disk Management doesn't show the drive at all and Disk Part has the same results

Anyone know why this happened and how to get rid of it?

    Thanks

    Most likely needs formatting.
    See (as an example):
Blue question mark on drive icon? - [Solved] - Storage
    which points to

However noted it's not seen by Disk Management

Otherwise please post a screenshot of your disks preferably using Minitool Partition Wizard (Which you will need as it's not seen by Disk Management), expanding columns as necessary so text is visible.

Since this was also a data move from the previous install, the 'M' drive was most likely a VPN or network drive that did not get the correct information from the GPO moved over.

There was no data moved involved. We imaged the drive with our company image however this was a mapped drive. I disconnected the drive mapping and mapped to another letter. I logged in with my login information and the blue question mark is under my profile.

You will not find it in Diskpart. You are most likely going to have to check the GPO for Shared drives or even go into the Registry.
