No sound using TV as monitor with HDMI cable

    I don't know what video card I have. I know my sound card (integrated motherboard audio) but not video. I downloaded drivers recently, I'd assume they were the latest ones. And yeah, no NVIDIA devices show up.

    How did you download the drivers if you don't know what card you have?

    What does it say under Device Manager->Display Adapters?

    By video did you mean graphics? My graphics card is a GeForce GTX 780. I'm not seeing any option labelled "Display Adapters".

    Yes, "graphics card" and "video card" refer to the same thing.

    Try getting the drivers directly from nvidia.com. When you install do a custom install make sure the audio driver is checked. You can also try doing a clean installation just to clear out any old driver settings.

    It appears that downloading the drivers directly from the website worked. I've got sound back. Thank you very much everyone for helping me.
