Poor SSD write performance, help needed to solve this.

Alright, SO this is continuing from another thread, as the issue in the title of the old one is fixed.

I hav a Sandisk SSD plus 240 gb, it has over 86 gb free 95% life left (according to the sandisk dashboard), drivers for ssd/firmware are up to date, I've updated my motherboard drivers as well. Here is a recent Test i've run to check its speeds.

I've looked at other peoples benchmarks for this same drive and they often get over 330 mb/s on seq so there is for sure something wrong on my end with it. Any advice on what else I can try? My motherboard is a MSI b250 Pc Mate, got 8 gb of ram in it i5-7500, and the mentioned ssd. Also a secondary old school mechanical HDD I use for storage only. The read speed seems fine at least for Seq, but there is something going on with writing to it.

Have you run the test again and made sure that no backgrounds task read/write from the SSD? That ****ed up my testing from time to time.

Have you optimized (TRIM) your drive?

Standard sata-ahci controller is not the mother boards or oem manufactures chipset driver it's MS's crappy driver it installs automatically if none exists
Install the real chipset driver.

Thing is I did install it. It just doesn't seem to want to stick. It goes back to the ms one.

Unzip/ extract all the file where you downloaded it too
Then open device manager and install it from there by point the updater to it.
Is that how you did it ?

Hmm no. I just ran it. Maybe that's the issue.

I have installed the chipset driver for my AMD X470 motherboard. The IDE ATA/ATAPI drivers are still the "standard" one. (I haven't tried the SATA RAID drivers.) My primary drive, an Intel 750 (PCI-E) shows up with a separate storage controller.

Maybe your suggestion is correct, but I'm unsure.

Yeah, I've downloaded the chipset drivers from both msi and the ones direct from intel, neither seems to wanna update that storage driver. What the hell am I doing wrong here. This is really getting aggravating.
