How to install MANUALLY Dell drivers into my desktop? I tried hours...

[Dell Inspiron 560 desktop; Win10; Google Chrome/Mozilla Firefox browseers; Mozilla Thunderbird/Gmail email programs]

Hello, I've been (still) having terribly weird things happening throughout my computer. Someone suggested new drivers. I tried to find them at Dell (it's been taking me all day today) but after a few merry-go-rounds in there and after installing their (obligated) Dell SupportAssist, finally they found 1 Driver adding I have to install it manually That's fine, except I don't know how even though I searched and searched.

Could someone help me please? Thanks so much! :)

Oh thank you Caledon for prompt response! The video is indeed very nice as the person speaks clearly and slowly enough but....the print was too small and I couldn't read. I was surprised that it needs so many steps.

However, would you believe it, I can't find the browser's page where Dell found one driver for my computer. I guess I'll have to start from scratch once more?

    Thanks again.

I probably wouldn't have been able to diagnose your problem even if you had described it. I doubt that updating a driver will fix it, though.

If you manage to do the update and the problems persist, I hope that we can help.

Oh thanks so much bobkn, I suffer so much with this weird problem all across my computer that I'm willing to try anything; the bad thing is I'm a very poor tech person and each little thing becomes a big project for me. I thought updating a driver was like a 10 minute job but because it's me I counted on one hour but...it took almost the entire day! And some sites aren't well kept, for instance at Dell's site they wanted my password which I forgot, so decided to have it reset but they never sent the reset link to my email even though I tried 4 times!
Thanks again for offering to help me with the original problem which caused me to update the drivers.

    To update your dell

    Hello Adela,
you can just download the updates to your downloads folder and then open your downloads folder and double click the exe file to install. When you download it there may be a read me text file to tell you how to install. It looks like a Bios update and a firmware update. The updates are very old. From 2012. I know you probably would not want to hear this but I really think it is time for you to upgrade to a newer computer. If all you do is email and use a browser there are some pretty decent laptops for around $400.00 dollars and even cheaper. If you don't need windows chromebooks are a great choice. It just really depends on what you use your system for. I have both windows laptop and a chromebook . I enjoy both in different ways. I much prefer the chromebook for browser cruising and email. Many new chromebooks are reasonably priced and run the playstore for android games.

Windows 10 will have you covered on drivers through windows update. As for the Bios update for your computer I am not sure if it installs automatically when you double click it or not. If it does make sure your computer is plugged in and follow directions. Do not turn it off during the update. Good luck.
