Hi Caledon, as you may have seen I haven't gotten the Dell driver yet (it seems I may never get it), but other dear thread members here who, like you, have been helping me so patiently, gave me some working arounds to see if I can get those blessed drivers, lol! I'll try them today and if I don't get them I quit!
As Steve C states you should be able to go to Dell's support page and enter service tag number. (bottom of machine).

I tried all of this at the very beginning in Dell's support page. But when I finally got one driver from them and they asked for the password, since I forgot it I requested password reset but....they never sent the reset to my email after I tried more than 4 times! So that's that with Dell...
Could I ask what is the specific problem you are having with this Dell laptop. Everyone has a different idea of weird.
Yes, first the data: I have W10 Home; Version: 1803; Installed 17 May 2018; OS build: 17134.254
This is what happens in my computer:
    1. Flickering in all directions very badly everywhere: mouse, WordPad, NotePad, my 2 email programs, browsers, on other sites, etc. Can only write on brief normal behavior. It can happen before, in the middle and after typing or doing any other work.
    2. Vertical scroll bar rushes all the way down dragging any text on it. I try bringing it back up but it quickly goes right back down and stays down! When both these things happen...it's like a tsunami!!!
I tried everything people tell me but nothing helped, hence my obsession with the drivers (as a last try?...)
Could I also ask what version and build are you using for Win 10. Windows will update drivers for you, sometimes this causes issues especially on older gear. I have two laptops from 2007 which work fine but I shut off automated driver updates. Unfortunately when Feature updates come down the pipe, like 1803 they get updated and have to be "downgraded"
Windows key + R, type winver, enter.
Oh I didn't know any of this. Goodness, so I'll have to "downgrade" the automatic updates??? I guess it's par for the course no?
Thanks a lot for taking your time to help me!

Hello Adela it sounds as if it could be a display adapter driver problem but I noticed there is no display driver on the Dell website. Windows 10 is not particularly good with display driver updates. Do you know how to tell us what your computer is using for a display driver? Open device manager and expand the display driver section. Go here to see how to find the driver.Collecting System Specifications in Windows

The Inspiron 560 uses onboard graphics (Intel GMA X4500) from its G43 chipset. The newest drivers that Intel offers on its download site for that are for Window XP X64. There are newer ones (from 2/2011) that are supposed to be good for Win7/Vista. (They're downloadable, but as a .cab file.) I hope that Windows Update would supply those automatically.

I wonder whether the Intel chipset driver would help? https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER90811M/3/R243144.exe (Just download and run it.)
