    Safely Remove Hardware icon missing

    Hi
In the last few days the 'Safely Remove Hardware' icon has gone missing from my Taskbar. Also, if I right-click on the USB stick or USB hard drive in 'This Computer' the Eject option is missing.
In PC Settings/Personalisation/Taskbar/Notification area/Select which icons appear on the taskbar I have 'Always show all icons in the notification area' switched on & all items in the list are in the 'on' state including 'Windows Explorer (Safely Remove Hardware & Eject Media).
    Any suggestions?

    Hello Frank,

If you like, you could use the "Safely Remove Hardware" shortcut below instead, but only devices classified as removable will show up in it.

Yeah, I tried that but it's somewhat unsatisfactory in that it doesn't restore the Eject option from This Computer/right-click on USB drive.
Small things I know but my main concern is: why has it disappeared in the first place.

Is Quick removal selected for the USB drive's Policies tab in properties like below?

Does the USB drives show as being "Removable data drives" like below when looking in Control Panel (icon view) > BitLocker Drive Encryption?

If they are, then yeah they should have the "Eject" context menu and be in Safely Remove Hardware.

It's only to see if the drive is shown as "removable" or not.
