Router Firmware Re-flashing Problem
I installed the OpenWRT firmware on my netgear wndr4700 router to see what I could get out of it; I decided to go back to the default netgear firmware, so I tried to follow the instructions here, but its been giving me problems
first off, I open the ipv4 settings on my ethernet properties, and I change the ip address to 192.168.1.10, the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0, and the default gateway to 192.168.1.1, then after saving the settings I run the tftpd64 client, select my ethernet as the server interface, and the other fields as it should. I got the netgear firmware file on me, I run the client, I power off my router, wait 10 seconds, power on, and wait for the power icon to start blinking
problem is, when the power icon on the router starts blinking, the server interfaces changes from the ethernet to something called software loopback interface 1 (ip address 127.0.0.1), and I quickly change it back before the router fully boots, click put, and it keeps giving me an error (something something 10025 error something) saying it fails; when I re-check the ipv4 settings on my ehternet, the default gateway field keeps going blank when my router boots
to those who can help me with this, please tell me what im doing wrong and how to fix it (hopefully without bricking the netgear router
