Device Connect Sound when wake up from sleep

    Hi

Since i clean installed a windows 10 on my laptop , every time that the pc come up from sleep i hear a single Device connect sound.
I can't find what hardware change causing it.
    1. I updated all the drivers and checked the power management options
    • Dispaly drivers to both graphic cards
    • Network Lan and Wireless adapters
    • All Usb Adapters

    2. run sfs scan
    3. watched with usbdeview program for changes
    4. scanned the event log

still a can't figure out what causing the connect sound.

2 things that i notice on wake up:
    1. sometimes the screen stays black for 1,2 seconds more then usual
    2. the clock and date on the taskbar appears later then other icons

I am fighting with that for almost a week , please if anyone have another ideas what to do besides turning off the DevideConnect sound

Hi kobib. Welcome to the TenForums @kobib

Unplug all you USB devices except keyboard and mouse. For keyboard and mouse check their power mgmt tab in Device manager. Disable allow computer to shut off to save power.

    Test.

    Hi Caledon
I already tried that. Its a laptop so the only usb device its the wireless mouse adapter.
Even if i remove the mouse its still makes the sound.

I disabled "allow computer to turn off...." to all the devices

Since this happened after a clean install please check with your vendor and see if they have specific drivers for USB. Windows may have loaded generic drivers.

Does this happen when you power up or restart. I ask as USBDView has a column on Last Plugged in. Seems to be tracking only on Boots.

At least it will show you what in the system is connected through USB.

    Better yet their log product.

The sound didn't happen when boot up or restart and the log didnt show any records.

I tried again to update all the drivers via Lenovo Utility program.
I updated almost all the drivers.
For now seems that the sound disappeared.
I dont know which driver fix it

Thank you Caledon Ken for the suggestions and the support

Now i only notice that the screen is back for almost 2-3 seconds each wake up

That log function should work to catch culprit when you sleep machine.

Don't think the two or three seconds is an issue. My HP with i3 does same.

Things actually have to wake up, drive has to come to speed etc.
