The parameter is incorrect Bluetooth User Support Service to Auto

    Hello,

My Bluetooth was not detecting any devices. I started Bluetooth User Support Service and it seemed to work. My PC said it's discoverable. But the problem is I need to restart my PC for it to work but when I do, it just shuts off again! I tried changing it to Automatic and Automatic Delayed Start but it kept saying The parameter is incorrect.

I can't find any solution right now

    Thanks in advance,

    OH BOY !!
This is exactly the same problem I am having.
Driver is good, It says Device is working properly.
But,when I go to Services.msc, Bluetooth service Properties, well there is NO way to put that on Automatic Start nor change NT AUTHORITY\LocalService nor put it to my account using my password ....well this is so frustrating to see this message saying

    The parameter is incorrect

Btw i read somebody fixing this, error but not on hardware saying he had to find %temp% folder
first and then give more Admin rights or something like that and the error went away for good !

Please TECH GUYS in here HELLLPPPP US !!!

    THANKS IN ADVANCED GUYS !!!

Also, I once lost Some words like Control Panel
and Printers and Devices on Win XP and one good samaritan Tech guy helped us go to Registry and make the reappear on the Start logo !

Maybe the On Off Bluetooth button may be edited on the Registry or someone make a batch, file to enter as a reg file to make this
lost blue button come to life again ???
Thanks hoping this might trigger some Techy guys curiosity !!

    Hi jantis,

I have found a possible solution for both of us (I can't test it right now) it's changing the start type in the registry from Manual to Automatic.

Change "Start" from 3 to 2 in the following places:
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BluetoothUserService
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BluetoothUserService_33965
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\bthserv

I am not sure it will work but i'll try it soon

Edit: I just saw that you cannot turn on/off Bluetooth, i know how to fix that.

    Step 1: Open services.msc
Step 2: Start the following services:

    Bluetooth Support Service
    Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service
and any other Bluetooth related services.

Then set all of them to automatic.

BTW: I am having a problem setting Bluetooth User Support Service to Automatic, but the registry thing I showed you up in my post might fix it.

    Hi there !

I did all that and figured that changing the value from 3 to 2 will set things to Automatic.....and it did !!

But, bad news for me all is in Automatic on Services.msc ….AND NO LUCK !!!
I CANT USE THE BLUETOOTH AT ALL and is present under hidden devices, saying that the Device is working properly , driver says it is the latest one but even though it says Automatic now, well the service is not started
so I Started the service and it does not Stay Automatically on or Started plus when I hit Apply, I still get "The parameter is Incorrect" banner or flag !!

WHAT THE HECK IS Microsoft doing to us ??? Are they killing Bluetooth on purpose for maybe a new comm
gadget ? Please it looks like you and me are the only ones with this problem. I am totally following you in this forum everyday to fixed this BT trainwreck. Thanks for your future help !

Like I said before Iread someone fixed another type of problem but with same parameter is incorrect going to
a Folder named %temp% and he said he gave extra permissions maybe Admin ones to it an dthe problem went away ! Where is that Temp folder ….I guess it is a Hidden Folder one....! Can you try this ? Thanks in advanced

    Update:

I found the %temp% and it was easy to search for.

I went and hit Properties Security and gave that folder extra full ADMIN permissions and change to my account which has admin priviledges and ……….NO LUCK AT ALL …….BLUETOOTH IS STILL OF NO USE !!!
    Any clues ???

I talked to Microsoft and they were so very nice
and cool......and they are going to work on this issue. Also, this BT driver in my case, was only for windows 8.0, so they suggest that I should search
for driver of same brand but from other laptops from other companies in which this particular hardware is inside. Maybe one of those drivers from a factory installed win10 with this BT device could fix the problem.
First time ever I call MS and they are very humble and super nice (not a pay ad, btw ! hehe) .....So, once I find out of MS contact me, I will let you know. So, lets keep in touch over this issue until it gets Fixed on this Tenforums.com

Take care buddy ..... lets up the notch and seach for this win 10 Ralink driver !!!
