Surface Pro 3 screen replacement?

Yesterday I dropped my 3.5 year old Surface Pro 3 - cracked the screen. The touch screen does not respond to touching now.
I can get a newer version - see pic - or try to get the screen replaced. This would be my 1st experience at having an electronic device repaired, very leery about it.

Suggestions appreciated!

A 3 year old device is, well not very old, IMO. . BUT, if you can get a newer version for that price, then I say go for it. $799 is a steal. . Lemme guess, that's at Best Buy? lol. . You could also try and get the screen replaced, then sell that one, and use the money to get a new one, so you don't have to pay that much out of pocket. Replace the screen, and sell it for like $350-400

Thanks for the reply. It is from Best Buy - Newegg and B & H Photo had the units on backorder. I think the price is very acceptable. Also, found this site to get a replacement screen kit - may do it just for experience - have built many computers - never took a tablet apart.

I say go for it, buddy! $75 isn't bad at all. I honestly thought it would be like $200 or something!

I went for it - screen is out of stock - can't win them all.

Thanks - RepairPartsPlus is the one where it is back ordered - want to double check the model I have - pretty sure it is a Pro 3. I see 1603 and 1514 referred to in different places.

Yeah, make sure you get the correct one. I only went with 1514 because that's what your original picture said :)
