Webcam C270 not working anymore after update

With 2 PC's after updating from v1709 to v1803 the Logitech Webcams C270 are not functioning anymore (audio ok, no video).
The most recent Logitech drivers are from around 2012, so I donot expect a driver update, and think that buying new Webcams is mandatory. But still the question: does anyone have a functioning C270 with W10 64bits v.1803?

You should create a restore point and then try out those 2012 drivers. Better old than nothing, right?

Uninstall the webcam in Device Manager and reboot.

Thanks for reactions, but it turned out not to be a driver issue, but a settings issue.
In settings, go to Privacy, Camera and check: Allow which apps can access your camera. Then check: Win32WebViewHost. Now Windows allows to approach the Webcam. I am able to Skype again and the problem is solved. Apparently, with the Windows update to v1803 these settings were modified.

I got this update pretty late and when my Logitech C310 webcam stopped working I was sure the update had messed with the drivers somehow. After much messing about with trying to remove the drivers and re-install etc. I chanced upon your reply about the apps, which immediately made sense. I was very confused as to why I was able to hear hear the mic working through control panel when I selected "listen to this device" but Audacity and Skype etc were unable to use the mic. Saw the entry for Win32WebViewHost in the apps, and after enabling that, suddenly everything is working again.

For others: if you've recently received feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 - then the above fix should help you.

I saw a post on reddit saying that Win32WebHost has been renamed to "Desktop App Web Viewer" to make its purpose more clear. So open Settings, go to Privacy, Camera and then make sure "Desktop App Web Viewer" has its permission turned on.
