It's easier to just format the drive.

As far as MiniTool showing more partitions, actually, Disk Management is showing less partitions. MiniTool shows the full picture, whereas Disk Management shows a partial picture, omitting those partitions that are not Fat32 nor NTFS.

This is my HDD in an ASUS Desktop about 2 years old, came from the factory that way except I've added the External USB drives [3]:

I reset my computer using Windows 10 setup.
Now though, there are more partitions.
On a 500gb hdd c: has only 225gb of space.
So, what I'm going to do is do a cleans install.
I'll use my Windows 8 pro and after installation I use the Windows 10 setup.
    My question is:
I'll use Diskpart to "clean" the drive and then recreate the primary partition.
Can I create the other partition then?
Problem is when I run Windows8 Pro setup it tells me it can't install to that disk because it has an MBR partition table. I nee to go to Advanced and then select 'Delete.'
Will it delete the extended partition or just the partition I select?. (I believe extended is the proper term).

I must add though that the Mini Tool install did ask me to install chromium and some other software.
It was at the end of the install and I just wasn't paying attention.
