Wireless LAN driver not compatible with windows 10

Hello! Need advice for my very old wireless lan pci card (rosewill rnx-g300; ralink 1.5.4.0). I just did a fresh install of Windows 10 to my old pc. Everything works okay except my wifi card. I tried to install the driver manually because I can't go online, and I get this prompt that the driver is incompatible with my current os. The latest driver support for the card was for windows 7, but I was able to use it with windows 8, and the earlier version of windows 10 with some problems; it doesnt get detected during boot from time to time. Will I still be able to use the card, or should I just get a new one? Thanks.

Drivers for W7 usually run in W8 and 10. There might be something wrong with it, Try uninstalling drivers, take card out and restart computer. After that shut down, install card again (preferably in another slot). At that stage it would be good if you could connect to your router by wire so windows may look for driver on internet. If not try reinstalling driver.

Thanks @CountMike. That's what I did. I had no choice but to route thru wired connection. And as easy as that, the problem fixed itself. Cheers!

You can now use the dism /export-driver command to save the driver that is working for future use.

Thanks @NavyLCDR. I should probably do that. I'm gonna read about it after this post.
