after running seatools for dos long test ,it is supposed to give me an option for repair the drive, if it is a segate drive, but i have run the long test and it did not give me this option, has any body got an idea as to why?

Welcome to the forum. Did it find any errors if it finds bad blocks they can't be repaired
A long established principle of software design is to not offer options that are inappropriate for the situation. If it is considered that the drive cannot be "repaired" the option to do so will not be provided. Attempting to do so may compromise whatever possibility there might be to recover the drives data.
In such a situation your first priority should be to safeguard your data by making backups. Actually this should have been done before the drive developed problems. Many people do not attempt backups until after several failed repair attempts. By then it is often too late.
Nothing can repair bad sector its the drive failing its hardware fault
