    Unknown Device

After updating to Windows 10 1803 Build 17134.167 noticed that this driver “PCI data acquisition and signal processing controller” is missing and sub-device “unknown device” in the Device Manager.

I downloaded the chipset and WLAN drivers from HP, but they will not install. The installation starts, unzips files and then empty CMD screen appears and stays empty for a while then closes, a pop up says that all installation is complete and asks me check the log file, which I never managed to find.

I will be grateful for any help, or point me where I can find a solution.

    Hi dabour.

To get detailed information on what your machine is looking for ....

Right click Unknown Device > then Properties > Details tab > In property box use drop down to click on Hardware Ids > cut and paste first line from "Value" box into Google.

Should give you more details on what driver you are looking for. Get driver from your vendor site.

Repeat for PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processor shown in screen shot

    Hi Ken,

Thank you very much for your answer. I'm working with HP support now on this they replied to me after I post here.

Anyway what you kindly mentioned is exactly what they asked me to do.
