    LG Mdrive Blu-ray burner.

We moved and I've finally got my network up only to find my desktop's Blueray burner won't.
I suppose that in the move the cable(s) might have slipped loose?
But to troubleshoot I'm thinking I should delete the driver and reload it to get the latest Win10 version?
Anybody got so insight into these burners? Worth it?, Jungue?
    TIA

    Hi Chucktin

Does your DVD show in device manager.

Is it reporting okay? (No yellow triangles)

If you right click device and then properties, anything reporting on General tab.

If this is a desktop you should be able to open case and check cables. This is not a complex process. Power device off and unplug from wall. Reaseat cables. Only do this if you DVD is not showing in device manager.

Device Manager shows the LG burner as "HL-DT-ST BD-RE" and displays "This device is working properly." No triangles are displayed at any point.
The "This PC/ Devices and drives" displays it as "BD-RE Drive" and clicking that icon opens a window with the "Open" command. Clicking that and the access light glows, the tray does not eject and the "Insert disc" window appears.
I can open the tray with a pin but there's no disc in the tray. If I place a disc in the tray it doesn't play or read.
I'm going to open the box and look but at this point I'm thinking the burner is toast somehow.

    Installed VLC.
    Ugh
Audio track ( that I have played before) crackles and is louder than I expected.
    What does that tell?
I'm running speaj5ers off motherboard audio out.
    Not good, for sure.

Couldn't try anything else because the tray will not open unless I use the pin to manually eject it.
    Drat, double-drat.
Optical drive is an LG, M- Disc, 12x Bluray/DVD.
That's my archive/backup. Worked great before the move.
Do these have an evil rep for being short lived or fragile? Do you know?
    I've ordered a 16x replacement from Amazon.
