    Device Manager Dumbed Down?

I just upgraded to 1803. Has Device Manger been 'dumbed down' since I'm no longer seeing an option to re-enumerate all devices?

If you go the Action menu and choose "Scan for hardware changes" that should do the trick.

The Device Manager and Action drop down menus seems to have gone flaky, mine sometimes just shows Help.
Sometimes the whole list as was.
The alternative is to right click on one of the device list for "Scan for Hardware changes" that also seems to correct the menus as well.
    That's how it is here.

Agreed - I discovered you now have to select a device to see the 'scan for changes' option.

It's possible that button doesn't appear on your toolbar. If so, click 'View > Customise...' and tick the box for the Toolbars snap-in.

Very interesting! I've never seen the menus go wonky myself, but that's a reasonable observation. Right-clicking any device present does offer up the "Scan for hardware changes" option, so that's a usable workaround. Thanks! Learned something useful today!

I guess that post and picture was a bit misleading. . .

I can "Scan for hardware changes" just by left clicking that little screen icon.

. . . tick the box for the Toolbars snap-in.
    This, correct ?

Yes, if you un-tick 'Toolbars' your 'little screen icon' disappears, tick it and it returns.
