Just found this in a review of the laptop
"Navigation is accomplished with a decently sized trackpad that utilizes mouse drivers instead of Precision or Synaptics"
The thing is, how am I able to use MS gestures? They seem to work.
Go to BIOS settings, move to Main tab and check whether Touchpad is in Basic mode, if it is, switch to Advanced mode.

My touchpad settings aren't present except for Taps setting. I don't know why I don't have them, other Windows 10 laptop at my home has them all. My windows version number is here:

updated from 7 to 10 and works good so far, changed settings in touchpad and
hit apply but when I shutdown and startup the touchpad settings have defaulted
back to the factory settings. how do I stop this default to factory settings?
