Can not find the little USB icon to eject drive

I connected my drive to a new Windows 10 computer. I can't find the little icon that you can right click to remove the drive. Is there a way to enable it?
Otherwise the drive is working fine.
    Thanks.

Look for the device on File Explorer, right-click and select "Eject".Can not find the little USB icon to eject drive-img_20180717_103357.jpeg

Often the eject icon in the taskbar notification area is to be found in '^ Show hidden icons'. It seems to be a hidden icon by default, I prefer it to be visible so I click and drag it to the taskbar notification area where it will stay for future use.

That works for DVDs, USB sticks and SD memory cards. An external HDD is not classed as 'removable media' so it does not have an eject option in File Explorer. A USB HDD can only be ejected from the taskbar icon.

Thanks. I can see and access the drive fine, but from device manager, right clicking on the external HDD does not give me the eject option, nor is the USB sign in the ^ area

See if this thread helps restore the missing eject icon to the notification area...

    but from device manager
Why are you using device mgr to eject drives? There are easier options to eject as mentioned.
