[Help]Last W10 update disabled my mic

Please help me as I'm running out of ideas here.
My microphone was working perfectly until yesterday when windows update popup appeared. I let it update and from that moment my mic is dead.
    I know
that it's working cause when I tried to set it up I when I've checked "listen to this device" in properties, I could hear myself. Mic is being detected when I plug it in or out, but none can hear me and even when I tried to run "set up microphone" in control panel it told me that hardware is not working properly and wizard can start.
    Windows version is 1803
There are no yellow exclamation marks in device manager.
I haven't changed anything in my system. The only change was this yesterday's update.

Is the mic set as the default? I just had to redo that.

But where exactly? In control panel->sound it is. It's listed there as default device in "recording" tab.
    I didn't changed anything

Maybe it's got something to do with those questions I was asked after the update. It was something along the line - do you want Cortana to listen to you? I responded no.
So maybe this deactivated my mic somehow.

Press the Windows and "i" keys simultaneously, click "Privacy", "Microphone" and make sure that "Allow apps to use your microphone" is set to "On". If it isn't, change it. Also, scroll down and make sure the application you are trying to use is set to "On".

Solved. Thank you. I would never think of that. Cause before I also had mic unavailable for apps and Cortana disabled, and then everything worked.
But thank you for guiding me on the right track:)
