Hard Drive Problem

I've been using Commodo Icedragon Browser for several months with no problem. Last night, I got a pop-up that said it was updated with a notice if I wanted to install Commodo Cloud A/V. I declined and closed the pop-up. Next thing, my computer is slow, stutters, and freezing. A few minutes later I get another pop-up that says Cloud A/V is installed. ???
I checked Revo Uninstall and it showed the Icedragon Update, Cloud A/V installed and something called Internet Essentials. No idea. So I went into Safe Mode, and used Revo to remove all three. All three deleted, no problem. After I got back into regular mode, my HDD started stuttering once in a while. Never did that before. I just downloaded and ran the Western Digital Diagnostic Tools and supposedly my hard drive passed.

Are there any other Generic Diagnostic software I can use to double/triple check my hard drive? After the diagnostics, the stuttering calmed down, but I'm still getting it once in a while.

P.S. Ran Ccleaner, Wise Disk Cleaner, Wise Registry Cleaner, Optimized the Hard Drive and also ran sfc /Scannow before running the Diagnostic.

One should always use the native uninstal procedures from Windows, that is go to Control Panel>Programm and Features and uninstall the Programs.
Now, have a look if the Company(ies) do offer a stand-alone uninstall utility for each of the Software.
Otherwise, I would suggest you to do a "In Place Upgrade" (look at Tutorials)

The chances are it installed some malware which is running and possibly installing other stuff

Malware anti-malware bytes and Super anti-spyware found nothing. Neither did Windows Defender.

Av may not find anything now some will install and they are not malware but they are downloaders which then download more software its down to checking whats running and anything new installed

If you've never used Revo...F.Y.I. When you hi-light the program in question, click on un-Install, it will automatically search that program for its own, built-in, un-install utility and run it. After that, it runs its own un-installer and searches for any leftover directories or files. Sometimes nothing, sometimes over 100 files remain after the programs own utility runs. Its nice to know, Revo can find all the leftovers and remove them.

We are talking about AV Software and they have System Files integrated in OS at around Kernel level.
If a uninstall Program just "brut force" unistall files by refferences in Registry, this System Files will remain in System and the chance they behave wild is great.
That maybe the reason why HDD is behaving strange.
That said, people should do what they thing is the best for them! I am obcessed by Freedom.

Again, thats what Revo does. It looks for system files and removes them.
