Both in task manager and system properties it says the installed ram is 16.0 GB and 2 of 4 slots are used. There is an 8.0 GB stick in each of the 4 RAM slots on my mobo and CPUZ agrees, showing 32.0 GB. I've updated my bios, disabled onboard graphics, and tried just about everything in a thread I've found here and elsewhere, nothing works. Any ideas?

I see, annoying.
Guess I need to upgrade motherboard/cpu to use all 32 gb then?
@Silariuss Please download CPU z and post screenshots (https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...en-forums.html ) of the CPU tab, mainboard tab and each of the 4 SPD tabs. On the SPD tab, you can select each Dimm slot from a dropdown in the upper left. Please wshow all 4 slots.I've never heard of a retail motherboard that requires 16 GB ram sticks.

To get Dual-Channel does require a matched pair but may be best if all 4 are matched.

Does the motherboard's UEFI recognize that you have 4 sticks of ram and show 32GBs or 32/768?
If not there's your problem.
Windows only recognizes the hardware that your motherboard's UEFI does, as far as cpu, mobo, ram, usb2/3/3.1, lan/wi-fi, sound and video.
