Windows 10: Windows won't recognize half my RAM Solved

    Changed some RAM settings in the BIOS now I get no boot whatsoever. CMOS cleared, nothing. FML.

    @Silariuss have you tried clearing the CMOS as per the MB manual and also loading the optimized defaults?
    The motherboard could be faulty or something else is causing this.

    You can also try and disconnect the power connecters from all the HDD's and the CD/DVD writer if you have one installed.

    What is the make and size of the power supply that you currently have installed?

    Remove 2 of them. Leave the remaining pair in the slots recommended for 2 DIMMs. Clear the CMOS again.

    Thanks for trying everyone computer seems basically dead though. Lock this as I'm just breaking more things every time I try a suggestion.

    What's it doing? Typical ram slots are 1 &3 and 2&4. There's nothing being suggested that should have hurt the board. Changing the timings can cause it not to boot.

    So I unbuilt and rebuilt the computer. I ragebroke my case's power switch in the process, thats the bad news. The good news?

    Case was dirty and ugly anyway, new one inc will use my mining rig's external power switch in the meantime.
