So that key def changes from 1 to 0 when it gets disabled as it did it again. When I enable the touchpad it changes back to 1.

Tried to change the permissions but everything is greyed out for the 2 users so looks like I don't have permissions to change it

Thanks again for your help. Fingers crossed now

Do you still want me to look at the other tools you sent?

    There are two possible approaches.
    1. See if this blocks the change.
You can of course run the tool that monitors the key so you are immediately alerted to a change.

    2. Find the cause and solve the problem that way.

Clearly the first- if it works- means you can get on with life (!)
The second may take a long while to achieve.

Please change that graphic. It has your email address exposed.

Find the posting, click edit, click go advance, click on paper clip. Your attachments should show. Hover over attachment, an "X" appears. Click to delete.

Looking forward to results of this registry change.
