    Got this from f14tomcat.

I haven't tried pulling one back in but the export works.

Your driver should be available from your vendor, might be under win 8.1 if not available under 10. After that Windows will update, if you let it. I'd stick with vendor one.

Please see this posting about making a bootable USB. Post #4 in thread.

In your BIOS please ensure fast boot is off.

Thanks a lot I def didnt do that

When I tried macrum I created a boot able USB drive and managed to boot off that so I assume fast boot is off.

I'll try this method to create the boot disk

Still couldn't find that laptop on Toshiba. Really silly with all the models and numbers. Machine has one model and web site seems to use different convention.

Looked up teardown. Not bad but not something everyone would be comfortable with.

Thinking outside box maybe make a boot disk and see how it works with touchpad. Want to really know whether this is hardware or software before even considering opening. The forum has this boot disk. If it works on boot disk then for sure it is software related.

Ok so after much fraffing around on my part and then finally finding Rufus I created the bootable USB and tested it

AND... the touchpad worked fine within WIndows PE

As funny as it sounds that is excellent news, you know it is not a loose cable and the hardware is functioning.

Did you notice what drivers are being used for keyboard, mouse and touchpad.

You will want to replicate in 1803.

Can't remeber, did you do the inplace repair?
