Power setting turn off Intel speedstep

Checked my UEFI bios and noted that speedstep is turned off. Can a Windows 10 power setting turn speedstep off in bios?

Ver 1803, Dell laptop, >my usage does not stress the laptop<.
Task Manager & CPU-z both show 2.5 g for speed
HWINFO shows temp as around 45c

Well, i would turn it back on in the BIOS,
Then go to your power options profile and go into the advanced management and you will find there CPU setting for Min and Max
I don't think a windows update can change anything in your BIOS. You do have your BIOS password protected don't you so How could it.

Only person to use my computers, no password. I just set Windows 10 power option to default to see if it changes anything in bios. Will see after reboot. I just put 1803 in there, as I doubt also, it would change that.
