Logitech Software crashing, mouse functions don't work.

It started with not automatically switching profiles for each game that is played. Now it'll only stay open if it is on mouse memory profiles. And the mouse programmed buttons don't work in games If I try to click on the pc mode the software closes from the desktop entirely.

My ssd did have problems, uninstalled the Logitech software many times, it's on a new ssd. Tried it on another pc, the functions worked, didn't have any games to try it on there, the mouse and software did work. Any ideas what to try?

    Hi gtr2244

check apps in settings and make sure there are no logitech apps installed.

Then open device manager, find Mice and other pointing devices, expand section. Along the top click on View, then Show hidden devices.

Delete all hidden devices and software if asked.

Thanks for the reply. I tried this and it still closes when I click on the pc memory as you can see in the picture. It's set to on board memory. Logitech Software crashing, mouse functions don't work.-logi.jpg

I see they, logitech, has a version of the software dated May 2018. Might be in response to Win 10 V1803 release.

    Newest version is 9.00.42.

    What version are you on?

    1. First uninstall the current driver.
    2. Then run DevManView from Nirsoft. Click on Manufacturer column. Scroll down to Logitech entries. Select the devices you want to uninstall. You can select one or more device entries at a time. Then File->Uninstall Selected Devices to uninstall the device driver.
    3. Next remove the driver from the Store so Windows won't automatically reinstall upon device detection. Download DriverStore Explorer. Run as admin. Click Enumerate. Look for any Logitech HID entries, thenlick Delete Packag.
    4. Install the latest drivers for your mouse from Logitech's site.

After a installation of a new ssd, the .exe files were removed from the game profiles on the software. After linking them up again everything is working. Thanks for the replies.

    Excellent news.

Not sure why exe's would not be associated right after all the installs but you found it.

    Thanks for posting solution.
